Kaviar Forge & Gallery presenting ‘Landscape’ show with eight Kentucky artists

Kaviar Forge & Gallery is ushering in the spring season with “Landscapes,” a group exhibition featuring eight Kentucky artists.

 

“Landscapes” is a compilation of pastoral and urban scenes from multiple perspectives.

Contributing artists include painters Brian Bailey, Catherine Bryant, Lynn Dunbar, Bob Halliday, Billy Hertz, Lloyd Kelly, Mark Selter, and mosaicist T.B. Jackson-Williams.

“Landscapes” opens Thursday March 3, 2011.

  • Brian Bailey “takes us on a stroll through the woods, relaxed and serene.”

  • Catherine Bryant “sweeps in rich colors with contemplative notes along the water’s edge.”

  • Lynn Dunbar’s “aerial views are omnipresent.”

  • Bob Halliday” brings structure and form in sprawling tree limbs and foliage.”

  • Billy Hertz “provides a modern commentary depicting the urbanization in nature with traffic islands.”

  • Lloyd Kelly’s ” impressionistic fields exude romance.”

  • Mark Selter “shares hints of history with new brush along old paths winding through ancient hills.”

  • T.B. Jackson-Williams’ “tiny spring flowers emerge from the newly softened ground sweet and playful.”

“Landscapes” will be on display March 3 through May 28, 2011.

Kaviar Gallery is a fine arts gallery that’s also an extension of artist-businessman Carig Kaviar’s ironworks and forge at 1718 Frankfort Ave. in the Clifton neighborhood.

 

The gallery pays homage to Kentucky Craft Heritage by showcasing over 30 Kentucky Craft artisans as well as many artists from throughout the United States, according to the release.  In addition to sculpture and ironwork produced at the forge, Kavia
